SCI Puts Inflation at 8.4%

The average goods and services Consumer Price Index in Iran during the 12-month period ending Nov. 21, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Aban, increased by 8.4% compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Statistical Center of Iran reported. The SCI put urban and rural and inflation for Aban at 8.2% and 9.3% respectively. The overall CPI (using 2011 as the base year) stood at 258.4 in Aban (255.8 for urban areas and 268.9 for rural areas), indicating a 1.1% rise compared with the previous month. The year-on-year increase was 9.6%--9.5% for urban areas and 10% for rural areas compared with last year’s similar month. The indices show a 0.9% rise compared with those of last month.
