Chery’s Local Branch to Produce Tiggo 5X

Chery’s local operation in Iran, Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing Company, is planning to produce the new Tiggo 5X SUV. MVM is to start production of the vehicle by the end of the current fiscal (March 2018). The vehicle will be offered under the MVM X55 model, local news website Faradeed.ir reported. Price of the SUV is reported to be in the range of 1 to 1.1 billion rials ($25,000-$27,500). In the Chinese market it is sold for 79,900 to 110,900 yen ($12,000-$16,700). The Chinese company unveiled the Tiggo 5X at the Shanghai Motor Show 2017. It comes with a 1.5L turbo 147-hp engine linked to a 6-gear manual or 6-gear Dual-clutch transmission.
