South Kaveh Steel Complex (SKS), located in Persian Gulf Mining & Metal Industrial Special Economic Zone, launched its Steel Making Plant Phase I for production of 1.2 million t/year steel billet in December 2015. Today after Sarralle upgrading works into the Transformer and installation of the New Version of the Electrodes Regulation System (SARCON), by reaching a record of 22 heats and producing 3659 tons of billet in 1 day a considerable increase in production has been achieved, reducing the consumption of electrodes.

The SARCON is a universal electrode control system for electric arc furnaces (EAF) as well as for ladle heating furnaces (LF). The SARCON is a further development of NI LabView, which is part of the equipment in many industrial applications around the world.

The SARCON is a powerful tool, with the help of which tap to tap time can be reduced as well as the electrode consumption, the energy consumption, the refractory consumption, the commissioning times (Commissioning within 3 days), also allowing to extend the maintenance intervals and a flexible visualization. All of which has a significant economic impact since it allows reducing the production costs and increase the productivity and efficiency.

On the other hand, we must highlight the work carried out by Sarralle in Arvand Kaveh Steel Company (AKSCo), located in Arvand Economical Free Zone, where the rolling plant for the production of rods and wires on the capacity of 600,000 tons per year will be launched soon.
