Zanjan-Mashhad Rail Linkup

A five-star passenger train will be launched on Zanjan-Mashhad route by Oct. 24, the head of General Office of Northwest Railways said. "Titled 'Fadak', the 400-seat train will serve passengers on alternate days," Mehr News Agency also quoted Ali Khodaei as saying.  Khodaei noted that the office is focused on improving the quality of travel services. "Measures to improve the services include raising the standards of passenger trains, setting up a terminal lobby for the convenience of travelers and increasing facilities at the station," he added. The Office of Northwest Railways covers rail transportation for passengers and cargos in Qazvin, Zanjan, East and West Azarbaijan provinces.
