Turkish Airlines will soon launch direct flights from the capital Ankara to four major cities in Europe, the flag carrier has announced.
Scheduled flights to Frankfurt will begin on Oct. 29, followed by Vienna and Berlin on Oct. 30 and Paris on Oct. 31, according to a press release, Gearsofbiz.com reported.
The direct flights will further promote Ankara’s potential for development, the statement said.
The airlines' chairman of the board, Ilker Ayci, had heralded the launch of direct flights at a meeting with the Ankara Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 28.
Turkish Airlines flies to over 300 destinations worldwide with its fleet of 329 passenger and cargo aircraft.
According to the 2017 Skytrax survey, already having been named the best airline in Europe between 2011 and 2016, Turkish Airlines has now been chosen as the best airline in southern Europe for the ninth year in a row.
