Shiraz to Host Int’l Film Festival for Peace

The first edition of Peace International Film Festival is slated to be held in the historic Iranian city of Shiraz, in Fars Province, December 2-6.

According to a press release by the public relations office of the festival, it is organized by Mehraz Art and Cultural institute in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Fars Province.

Its spotlight will be on movies promoting peace and friendship and in particular on the works related to children’s issues including education, child labor and  violence against children.

Topics such as tolerance, humanitarianism, devotion, poverty and hunger trauma, justice and development, preserving nature, climate change, intercultural dialogue and promoting a violence-free world will also be considered in selecting the films for the festival.
