Iran Zinc Mines Development Company’s subsidiaries produced a total of 8,198 tons of zinc ingots during the sixth month of the current fiscal year (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)–a record monthly high in output, IZMDC’s Managing Director Ardashir Sa’d-Mohammadi said. Calcimin Company had the lion’s share of total output with 3,591 tons. It was followed by Bafgh Zinc Smelting Company with 1374 tons, Bandar Abbas Zinc Production Company with 1,250 tons, Qeshm Zinc Smelting Company with 922 tons, Iran Mineral Processing Company with 573 tons and National Iranian Lead and Zinc Company with 489 tons. IZMDC was established in 1997 as a zinc investment, exploration, production and processing holding, IRNA reported.
