US Department of State spokesperson Jen Psaki has echoed Iranian negotiators’ comments that the most recent round of nuclear talks between Iran and the major powers in Geneva was “useful”. All of the meetings in Geneva were useful, including the bilateral (between Iran and the US) and P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) meetings,” Psaki said on Friday, according to a transcript of her remarks posted on the website of the State Department.  She also said, “There’s not more of a readout we’re going to offer than that.  It’s obviously set in a series of meetings.  Further meetings will take place in mid-January.  In terms of the exact dates, I think that’s still being finalized.” Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi had said on Wednesday he had “very useful and helpful” nuclear negotiations with the six major powers in the Swiss city, which were held from December 8 to 10.
