The spokesperson for the Ansarullah movement (the Shiite Houthi political faction) has urged the Yemeni government to increase relations with Iran “as an important regional power.”
“Iran is a Muslim country which leads the axis of resistance against the forces of the global arrogance led by the United State and Israel,” Mohammed Abdulsalam said in an interview with Yemeni state television, Fars news agency reported on Tuesday.
He also asked the Yemeni government to open an embassy in Iran and treat Iran and the US equally in terms of diplomatic relations.
