The younger brother of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has been released on bail after being detained for two days on "unspecified financial charges". Hossein Fereydoun was sent to prison after he failed to arrange the bail on Sunday, ISNA reported. After appearing in court for further questioning on Monday, he was transferred to hospital as he faced "health complications". Judiciary Spokesman Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei said on Sunday "a bail order was issued for him yesterday and because he did not secure the bail, he was taken to jail. If he does so, he will be released." The bail amount was not mentioned.
