The digital startup event called Seedstars World will be held in Tehran on July 15. According to the official website of the event, the top 10 startups from Iran will be invited to pitch in front of an investment panel and compete to be crowned the most promising seed-stage startup of Seedstars Tehran 2017. Seedstars is a Swiss company that promotes, connects and annually invests up to $1.5 million in emerging market startups through its competition in 60 countries. The winning startup will join the global Seedstars Family and take part in the regional and global Seedstars summits that include the organization’s boot camp and investor forum. The winner of the contest will receive a flight ticket to Switzerland to compete for over $1 million in investment. The event is backed by Iran-Switzerland Chamber of Commerce and the University of Amir Kabir’s startup accelerator Fintech Innovation Nova, aka Finnova.
