Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index lost 4 points or less than 0.01% during the week that ended June 28 to close at 78,700.2.
The smaller over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse’s benchmark, IFX, shed 10.7 points or 1.2% during the same period to stand at 899.6.
Trading at Iran’s stock market starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.
Over 2.29 billion shares valued at $212.53 million were traded on TSE during the past week. The number of traded shares remained unchanged while trade value rose by 98.4% compared to the previous week.
TSE’s First Market Index shed 24 points or 0.044% to end at 54,223.1.
The Second Market Index inched up 106 points or 0.06% to close at 176,662.7.
At IFB, more than 1.32 billion securities valued at $188.29 million were traded. The number of traded shares declined by 15% while trade value grew by 108% compared to the previous week.
IFB’s market cap lost $299.6 million or 1% to reach $28.68 billion.
Its First Market witnessed the trading of 303 million securities valued at $16.26 million, indicating a 79% and 88% growth in the number of traded securities and trade value respectively.
About 335 million securities valued at $27.33 million were traded in the Second Market, with the number of traded securities and trade value rising by 46% and 38% week-on-week.
