Iran Khodro Group says it has upgraded its Peugeot 207i and the car will soon enter the market with automatic transmission. Previously, IKCO used to offer the 207 equipped with automatic transmission with an imported gearbox. According to local automotive website Asbe Bokhar, the transmission systems used in the new models are produced locally. The automaker has not provided any technical details about the automatic gearbox. However, it is more than likely that the parts used in the new 207 include the same gearboxes used for another product of the company, the relatively popular Peugeot 206. IKCO has started the presale of the automatic Peugeot 207i with a price tag of 470 million rials ($12,500) and a 30-day delivery date.
