Iran Aseman Airlines will launch biweekly flights from Rasht, Gilan Province to the Georgian capital of Tbilisi on July 3, according to a statement on the official website of Rasht’s Sardar Jangal International Airport.
The route is operated twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. The service will continue until September 21.
Since Tehran and Tbilisi abolished the visa regime in 2016, the number of Iranian tourists to Georgia has grown exponentially, with multiple daily flights from Tehran taking hundreds of Iranians to Caucasian country.
Iranians can stay in Georgia for up to 45 days without a visa.
