The ninth Islamic countries’ radio and television conference kicked off on Sunday in Mashhad with 600 domestic and foreign guests from 230 channels in 36 countries attending the meet.  Declared the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2017, Mashhad was selected by the Islamic Radio and Television Union to host the annual event.  The programs include an Islamic film market, exhibition of media technology, selection of best Islamic channel and best filmmaker of the Islamic world, commemoration of martyrs’ families and documentary shows about Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen. The confab ends on Tuesday.
