The Islamic Republic of Iran Railways plans to run 236 trains on a daily basis in the peak tourist season in Iran (from June 22-Oct. 2), the deputy head of the company, Mir Hassan Mousavi, said on Monday. “Similarly, the number of train seats will increase by 12% to reach 10.8 million compared with last year’s 9.6 million,” Mousavi was quoted as saying by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s news portal.
