Close to 200 industrial units were founded in Iran’s industrial parks during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21-May 20), creating around 2,200 jobs, the deputy head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization, Farshad Moqimi, said. “It is estimated that by the end of the year, about 136,000 jobs will be created in these parks. Last year (March 2016-17), the figure amounted to more than 189,500 jobs,” he was quoted as saying by Mizan News Agency. Production units in Iran’s industrial parks, according to Moqimi, are mainly engaged in the fields of metal, non-metal minerals and food industries as well as electricity and electronics.
