It continues to a be a good year to be a Harry Potter fan, as Pottermore website has announced that J.K. Rowling will release new stories on the site in the lead up to Christmas.
Pottermore users received an email explaining that every day from December 12 until December 23 they will be able to unwrap a festive surprise on Pottermore at 1:00 pm GMT. In true Rowling fashion, these Pottermore Christmas presents will only be accessible after users solve daily rhyming riddles.
According to the IGN website, we can expect “wonderful new writing by J.K. Rowling in moments from ‘Half-Blood Prince’, shiny gold Galleons and even a new potion or two.” At least one of the new writings will center on fan favorite Draco Malfoy, while another will explore Florean Fortescue’s ghost plot.
Rowling has been uncharacteristically active this year, already releasing a story on Dolores Umbrige and an update on the members of Dumbledore’s Army. She also sent fans into a frenzy with a cryptic tweet about her upcoming ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ film adaption, which is set to open November 2016.
