With construction of a new gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey, Ukraine’s role in transit of the Russian natural gas tends to zero, Gazprom’s CEO Alexey Miller said in an interview with the Vesti on Saturday television program. “We shall provide for the amounts of gas necessary for domestic consumption in Ukraine,” he was quoted by Itar Tass as saying.
