Over 1,000 Industrial Units Revived

A total of 1,080 production units located in industrial parks and zones across Iran, which had been closed down, were revived in the last Iranian year that ended on March 20, 2017, the head of Iran’s Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization said. “The total number of industrial units revived since President Hassan Rouhani took office in August 2013 amounts to more than 3,420,” Ali Yazdani was also quoted as saying by IRNA. According to the official, some 5,400 unfinished industrial projects were completed and made operational over the period. “About 220 trillion rials ($5.87 billion) worth of investments went into the completion of these projects that have created 76,000 direct jobs,” he said.
