New gold, iron ore and molybdenum veins have been discovered in Qizil Uzan mineral zone located in the northwestern Ardebil Province, an official with the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization announced. Alireza Jafari-Rad added that preliminary explorations at the zone have been concluded and IMIDRO is set to start underground operations. “The zones’ deposits will be determined by the end of September” he was quoted as saying by Khabar Online. A vein is a distinct sheetlike body of crystallized minerals within a rock. Veins form when mineral constituents carried by an aqueous solution within the rock mass are deposited through precipitation.
