Cyprus’ unemployment rate has remained unchanged in January 2017, standing at 14.1%, according to the European Union’s Statistical Service (Eurostat) reports on Thursday. The 14.1% corresponds to 61,000 unemployed individuals (14% male and 14.3% female), of whom 13,000 were below the age of 25 (or 32.8% in December 2016), Sigmalive reported on March 3. Meanwhile, the euro area seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 9.6% in January.
