Empowering the Disabled

Empowering the disabled population is a priority for the Ministry of Labor, Cooperatives, and Social Welfare, said Minister Ali Rabiei on Wednesday. “Creating the essential grounds for training the disabled and preparing them with vocational skills is high on our agenda,” he said at the inauguration ceremony of a technical and vocational training center in Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Province, ILNA reported. Training the physically and mentally challenged by the technical and vocational training centers across the country officially began in 2014. The target group has a 3% employment quota in government organizations, and a bill to increase the share to 5% has been sent to the parliament.
