A delegation from Iran’s Alborz Province met with Armenia’s deputy minister of economic development and investments, Emil Tarasyan, in Yerevan on Thursday to explore ways of improving bilateral trade ties. Tarasyan called for boosting exports of Iranian products to the neighboring country, which can act as a gateway to reexports to the Caucasus region and Europe, IRNA reported. Cooperation in nano manufacturing and halal products was also discussed in the meeting. The Iranian team included businesspeople from Alborz, led by Iraj Movaffaq, the head of the province’s Organizations of Industries, Mining and Trade. Alborz is situated 35 km west of Tehran, at the foothills of the Alborz mountains. It is Iran’s smallest province in area.
