The ministry of communications and information technology will grant loans to private and knowledge-based firms to invest in telecommunication projects, Morteza Barari, the deputy minister said on Sunday. In a meeting with the provincial governor of Yazd and some other local officials, Barari called for further participation of the private sector and knowledge-based firms in e-government projects, IRNA reported. He vowed that the ministry would earmark the required facilities to support the private sector.
