President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday visited Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who is in hospital recovering from a successful prostate operation.
The Leader said he always prays that the government will be successful and will be able to fulfill its obligations.
Rouhani thanked the Leader for his support of the government and said the government has been able to solve some problems facing the country thanks to the Leader’s backing.
The president also briefed Ayatollah Khamenei on his five-day tour of Central Asia, which took him to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, and the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) that was held in Dushanbe on Friday.
He described as “constructive” his meetings with heads of state of SCO member states on the sidelines of the summit.
