Plan to Prevent Enormous Water Loss

Over 11 billion cubic meters of water flow out of Iran’s borders every year and a plan is afoot to prevent this water loss, a deputy agriculture minister said. “The ministries of agriculture and energy have developed a project to curb this trend of water loss. The government has also approved the allocation of $10 billion from the National Development Fund of Iran for this purpose,” Alimorad Akbari was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
