Export of handicrafts is one of the main priorities of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization’s (ICHHTO) Gilan office, reported IRNA news agency.
“The Anzali Trade-Industrial Free Zone Organization is a suitable place for setting up of provincial, national and international expos, thereby boosting handicrafts sales,” said the provincial deputy head of ICHHTO (handicrafts), Salman Shahmohamadi on Sunday in a meeting aimed at boosting collaboration in production and export of handicrafts.
He said a MoU between the two organizations would be signed in the near future.
Gilan Province has 90 sectors in handicrafts, 40 of which are active.
