Gold coin prices registered growth in the past week. Bahar Azadi was traded at 11.06 million rials ($348.6) on Thursday, up from10.95 million rials ($344) at the start of the trade week on Saturday. Emami Gold Coin sold for 11 million rials on Thursday -- an increase of 80,000 rials compared with Saturday’s close. Half Azadi and Quarter Azadi each experienced 60,000 rials surge during the week to October 28.
Foreign exchange rates also surged during the week with US dollar being traded at 36,190 rials on Thursday, up from Saturday’s 35,930. The euro and British pound exchanged hands at 39,610 rials and 44,440 rials, respectively; marking a slight growth compared to Saturday’s close.
