Iran exported 40,000 tons of chicken during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 20), according to a deputy agriculture minister. Hassan Rokni added that the ministry has achieved half of this year’s chicken export target. “So far, we have been exporting frozen chicken whereas it is possible to export fresh chicken to Iraq and Afghanistan,” Rokni was quoted as saying by IRNA.
