Census Enters Door-to-Door Phase

The door-to-door phase of the eighth round of the National Population and Housing Census began on Wednesday. This is while the online registration phase has also been extended until October 21 due to high participation rates, ISNA quotedthe head of Statistical Center of Iran, Omid Ali Parsa, as saying. According to Parsa, close to 9.8 million households, or nearly 33 million people, registered online with SCI’s database since the beginning of the census on September 24 up until 10 a.m. on October 19, accounting for 41% of the Iranian population.
