An Iranian researcher and university instructor was conferred this year’s award of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) on Wednesday. Nezal Sarrafzadegan, who is the head of Isfahan University’s Cardiovascular Research Institute, received the award for her researches on cancer control methods, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region, IRNA reported. The KFAS is a private non-profit organization established in 1976. It aims to develop strong awareness in favor of science and scientific education and culture.
