Iran has hailed the Chinese president’s proposal named Silk Road Economic Belt and is ready to cooperate with China in this respect, Iran’s first vice-president Es’haq Jahangiri said in his meeting with Meng Jianzhu, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. As IRIB reported on Tuesday, both officials underlined the significance of expanding trade between Iran and China in this meeting. Iran is willing to have a larger share in the Chinese market and also welcomes Chinese investors to invest in southeastern port of Chabahar, Jahangiri said. Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed Silk Road Economic Belt to make China and Central Asia join hands in their trade links. Xi has promised to provide $40 billion to finance the project.
