The Supreme National Security Council of Iran has come to a conclusion regarding Iran's future relationship with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), said the council's secretary. "Regarding FATF and Iran's continued cooperation with it, the SNSC has come to a conclusion," Ali Shamkhani was quoted as saying during a press briefing as reported by IRNA."Come what may, the conclusion will most certainly be in line with national interest." He did not elaborate on the details of the decision. Asked whether or not the conclusion is positive, Shamkhani noted that all conclusions reached by the SNSC are implemented after they are reviewed, approved and formally signed by Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. "I can't comment now because we have not reached that stage yet," Shamkhani said.
