The Iranian Navy on Wednesday sent its largest flotilla consisting of four vessels to the high seas to safeguard maritime routes used by Iranian ships operating in international waters, especially in the Gulf of Aden. The 43rd flotilla, consisting of Lavan logistic vessel, Falakhan and Khanjar warships, equipped with missile-launchers, troop-carrier Konarak warship and the indigenous SH helicopter, headed to Pakistan's territorial waters with a message of peace and friendship and then to international waters from Iran's southern port of Bandar Abbas, Fars News Agency reported.
