Mobarakeh Steel Company plans to expand steel production capacity by more than 10 million tons per year by the end of November, the managing director of MSC said. Bahram Sobhani added that this would bring MSC’s total steelmaking capacity to about 17.2 million tons. Located in Isfahan Province, MSC is Iran’s largest industrial complex and Middle East’s biggest producer of flat steel products. With seven subsidiary mining companies and more than 20,000 workers, the company accounts for about 50% of Iran’s steel production, the Persian daily Donya-e-Eqtesad reported.
