In the week ending Nov. 5, 258,000 tons of various commodities worth 5.68 trillion rials were traded on the spot market of the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).
According to IME’s PR and international affairs’ office, more than 147,000 tons of commodities, valued at 2.76 trillion rials were traded on the export and local mining and industrial trading floor. Nearly 141,000 tons of different steel commodities, 1,150 tons of aluminum, and 180 tons of molybdenum concentrate were also up for grabs.
Over 134,000 tons of commodities, valued at almost 2.87 trillion rials, were traded on the export and local oil and petrochemical trading floor, which consisted of 55,000 tons of bitumen of different grades, 37,000 tons of polymers, 17,000 tons of vacuum bottoms, 3,060 tons of lube-cut oil, about 21,000 tons of chemicals, 1,220 tons of sulfur, 675 tons of insulation, and 70 tons of different gases as well as feedstock, the office said.
Furthermore, 3,500 tons of maize and 250 tons of cubic sugar were traded on the agricultural trading floor.
