Tehran Stock Exchange’s all-share index TEDPIX shed 99 points or 0.13% to settle Monday trade at 78,285.4 on losses incurred by large-cap petrochemical, investment and copper companies.

According to TSE data, 1.41 billion shares valued at $96.4 million changed hands for the day.

Gharb Cement Company was the biggest loser, as the value of its shares plummeted 466% to 3,006 rials each.

Ardakan Industrial Tiles Company registered the highest gains with the value of its shares jumping 3.41% to 64,830 rials each.

Jam Petrochemical Company was the biggest laggard with -32 points, followed by Tamin Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Investment Group, and National Iranian Copper Industries Company with -27 and -25.94 points respectively.

SAIPA–Iran’s second-largest auto manufacturer after Iran Khodro–provided the biggest boost to the benchmark with a P/E ratio of 8 and 50.55 points. Iran Telecommunications Company and Khuzestan Steel Company followed with 24.83 and 23.95 points respectively.

The Price Index lost 37.30 points or 0.13% to close at 29,584.4.

The First Market Index was down 13.60 points or 0.02% to settle at 54,849.7.

The Second Market Index gave up 547.90 points or 0.32% to reach 170,768.1.

The Industry Index inched down 59.80 points or 0.09% to post 65,387.

The Free Float Index wiped 31.71 points or 0.04% to finish at 87,557.

The TSE 30 Index tumbled 4.70 points or 0.14% to record 3,240.8, while the TSE 50 Index shed 3.30 points or 0.10% to end at 3,147.9.

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX lost 2.37 points or 0.4% to end Monday trade at 800.18.

Close to 370 million securities valued at $34.8 million were transacted.

Esfahan Steel Company, IFB’s best performer for the past two weeks, extended its lead and topped the charts for the highest number of shares traded and daily trade value, with more than 63 million of its shares worth $5 million changing hands.

Saina Company, Arfa Steel Company and Day Insurance Company posted the highest increase in share value. Kerman Development and Construction Company, Shahed Construction Company and Lavan Oil Refining Company had the biggest losses.

Tehran Oil Refining Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company were the biggest laggards for IFX.

Etemad Fund, with the transaction of 3.3 million of its shares, registered the highest trade volume among listed exchange-traded funds. Moreover, 258,090 participation bonds of Joopar Passenger and Freight Trains Company were sold out.
