German Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel cancelled his trip to Iran due to illness. Gabriel was expected to co-chair the Iran-Germany Economic Commission with his Iranian counterpart Ali Tayyebnia, a German government official said on Sunday. The government official did not give further details on Gabriel’s illness. No new date for a visit had been fixed, Reuters reported. Citing informed sources, IRNA reported that the sessions of the joint commission will be held as planned from Monday to Wednesday, but the final agreements will be signed in future meetings. This will be the first meetings of Iran-Germany Economic Commission in 15 years.
