Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Netherlands have been among the 10 main exporters of goods and services to Iran in the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-September 22).
The total value of imports from these countries reached $2.995 billion in the six-month period, IRNA reported Wednesday. Germany’s exports to Iran valued at about $1.25 billion, making it the sixth major exporter to Iran in the first half of the year, the report added.
Switzerland, with over $780 million of exports to Iran in the said period, stood next to Germany and became the seventh major exporter to Iran.
Italy and Netherlands combined exported about $483 million of commodities to Iran to stand, respectively, as the eighth and ninth biggest exporters to Iran.
According to the statistics released by Iran’s Customs Administration, the United Arab Emirates, China, India, South Korea and Turkey were the top five exporters of various commodities to Iran in the March-September period.
The UAE and China have, respectively, exported $6.54 billion and $5.9 billion of commodities to Iran during the six-month period.
Imports to Iran totaled $26.21 in the first half of the current Iranian year.
