The National Document on the Rights of Child is in the final stages of drafting and will be finalized soon, announced Mosaffar Alvandi, secretary of the Iran’s National Office on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). “The 10-year vision document will be sent to all executive bodies and implemented as of the current Iranian year (began March 20),” he was quoted by ISNA as saying. A national database with information on all children under the age of 18 has been prepared by the office. Children under 18 make up about 30% (nearly 28 million) of the total population.
