Iran is willing to share its experience in medical fields with other Islamic countries, said Minister of Cooperative, Labor and Welfare Ali Rabiee on Monday. “Muslim countries can boost cooperation in a range of fields, such as exchange of professors and students engaged in health sciences, health tourism, and also technical cooperation among knowledge-based companies in the medical field,” Mehr News Agency quoted him as saying.

According to official figures, the number of foreigners receiving medical treatment in Iran saw a 30% increase in 2014. In 2012 alone, Iran hosted 200,000 health tourists; most of them from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Turkey, Kuwait, Oman, India and Pakistan.
