The first passenger ship from Oman’s Sohar Port docked at Shahid Kalantari Port in Chabahar on Monday to mark the official opening of Sohar-Chabahar shipping lane. The capacity of the Omani ship is over 200 passengers and 40 automobiles, according to Managing Director of Chabahar Free Zone Organization, Hamed Ali Mobaraki. IRNA quoted him as saying that the opening of this shipping lane would boost the transportation of passengers, businesspeople and tourists to and from Chabahar.
