Members of the Combatant Clergy Association held a meeting on Tuesday night after the passing of Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Mahdavi Kani, secretary general of the principlist group, who died in hospital on the same day after being in a coma for months. Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahhedi Kermani, the deputy secretary general of the association, chaired the meeting, ISNA reported. No decision was taken about Ayatollah Kani's successor.
