The 1st International Literature Festival opened in the northeastern city of Trabzon in Turkey on Tuesday (Oct 21).
Literature professors, poets and artists from the host country, Iran, Russia and Georgia are attending the event, IRNA reported.
Speaking at the gathering, Iranian Consul General in Trabzon Mashoud Nohasi said the festival would play a pivotal role in deepening friendship among the participating nations.
More than 50 authors, poets, and artists will introduce their countries’ literature, poetry, and art by traveling around Trabzon.
The Tabrizi writer/poet Ayoub Shahbazi and University of Tabriz literature professor Ahad Ebadi will represent Iran at the festival.
