Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index gained 8.60 points or 0.01% to stand at 63,044 at Tuesday’s close.
More than 446 million shares changed hands value at over $21.3 million to register close to a 50% rise in daily trade volume and about 40% decline in value compared to Monday.
The Price Index inched up 3.40 points or 0.01% to end at 24,666.3. The First Market Index ticked down 33.30 points or 0.08% to reach 43,967.7. The Second Market Index rose 245.50 points or 0.18% to hit 138,762.5. The Industry Index jumped 56.70 points or 0.11% to record 52,079.7.
The Free Float Index was up 16.01 points or 0.02% to close at 16.01. The TSE 30 Index crawled up 0.80 points or 0.02% to end at 2,714.9, and the TSE 50 Index recorded no change and stayed put at 2,574.6.
Around 54% of listed companies worked against the benchmark. Telecommunications Company of Iran, with a PE ratio of 4 and 34.89 points, was the biggest market laggard, followed by Bank Mellat and Bank Saderat with 11.99 and 9.33 points respectively.
Tamin Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Company with 30.8 points gave the biggest boost to TEDPIX followed by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Pardis Petrochemical Company with 19.4 and 16.6 points respectively.
IFX Up 1.09%
Iran Fara Bourse’s overall index gained 7.65 points or 1.09% to close Tuesday trade at 710.57.
According to IFB, more than 410 million securities valued at $45.2 million were traded.
For the third day in a row, the highest trade volume was recorded for Isfahan Steel Company with 12.6 million shares changing hands. Iranol Oil Company posted the highest trade value of the day with $832,467 worth of its shares transacted.
Maroon Petrochemical Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company, Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Isfahan Steel Company, Khorasan Petrochemical Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Iranian Petrochemical Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX.
The highest increase in shares’ value was recorded for Shahrood Industrial Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company and Khorasan Petrochemical Company.
Novin Insurance, Taknar Copper Mine and Afranet Company filed the highest retreat in value.
Etemad Fund, with transaction of 466,540 shares, registered the highest trade volume amid listed exchange-traded funds. Furthermore, 500,000 leasing bonds of Butane Industrial Group with three-month maturity were sold out.
