Defense Minister Lieutenant General Hossein Dehqan said the armed forces are fully prepared to deal with any possible hostile move by the United States or Israel.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran increases its defensive power based on its defense doctrine, given its defensive needs that arise as a result of the threats posed to it … and our armed forces are always ready to give a response to mischievous acts by the US administration and the Zionist regime,” Dehqan said on Saturday, Fars News Agency reported.
Dehqan made the statement after Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter in a press conference in Tel Aviv last week claimed that the July nuclear deal between Iran and world powers removed “just one source of uncertainty and risk”.
