The recent news of the official release of BMW’s 2 Series official launch into the Iranian market is now backed up with a full price list, according to the local auto media. Asre Khodro reports that the BMW 220i Coupe variant’s official price starts at 2.89 billion rials ($89,000 at free market rate). It also notes that Persia Khodro, the company in charge of the sale of BMW in Iran will be offering monthly payment schemes for the vehicles. It will be initially offering the 2 Series in an 18-month payment scheme with a 30% deposit paid up front. BMW Persia is hoping for modest interest in the small BMW, placing it against Lexus IS250 and Mercedes-Benz C200 small cars. The vehicle is likely to do well, as it has official support from the main supplier.
