The presale of Haima S7 SUV has officially started, with Iran's largest car producer, Iran Khodro, slated to begin sales across the country in the coming weeks.
According to Mostafa Khankarami, the company's vice president for marketing, the presales of the Chinese designed vehicle will increase IKCO's market share, Asre Khodro reports.
Khankarami added that Haima S7 is a luxury SUV and the car enjoys design tips from Japan's Mazda as well as parts used in the vehicle.
The marketing official said the car offers a strong engine running a 150-bhp 16-valve Japanese designed engine. It also has max torque of 180 Nm at 4500 rpm, with MacPherson front and independent rear suspension.
Previously, Iran Khodro announced starting the production of Haima S7 in August, according to Eghtesad News.
In a report at the time, Financial Tribune wrote 40% of the Chinese SUV's parts will be produced locally. IKCO plans to produce 20,000 units of the model annually.
The S7 will be available with both manual and automatic transmission options and have a 2-liter engine.
