Slovak Internet security company, ESET, officially started work in Tehran by introducing its sales representative.

Dimitris Rakas, market development manager of the company for Middle East, said, “We are very happy to officially enter Iran in the new economic atmosphere,” the PR department of ESET announced.

Rakas said although ESET products are already well known and widely used, most of them are unauthorized and lack warranties.

Apart from aiming to gradually expand its consumer base, the company has also made it possible to identify original products from non-original ones.

Rakas said all licenses authorized to be offered and operated in Iran, start with the letters RN.

“Any other letters at the beginning of a license indicates it’s counterfeit. Moreover, the originality of the licenses can be traced on eset.com only,” he said.

The other indicator of the originality of an ESET product is the box it comes in, on which the words “exclusive for sale in IRI” must be written. Apart from the license, the box must contain a free mobile security antivirus license.

The Middle East ESET company will be answering any questions by customers on a local site.

  Kaspersky’s Persian Site

Russia’s Kaspersky Labs, another popular company that provides software security, is to launch an official Persian site in the coming weeks.

This will help inform users of the latest news and get in touch with the academy’s educators.

The company has had a growing interest in the Iranian market of late and teamed up with multiple companies to offer secure software and training to Iranian IT professionals via their special courses.
